This film scanning hood securely mounts onto your Basic Film Carrier 35 and reduces glare when scanning in well lit rooms which can result in higher contrast scans. If you have a room with plenty of window light or if you have a room with lots of overhead lights, this hood will prevent excess light from bleeding onto your scans.

Boasting a carbon fiber PETG construction with increased strength and durability and utilizing a unique, in-house manufacturing process, the Basic Film Carrier 35 Scanning hood helps round out your Basic 35mm scanning process.

Now available: Film Carrier 35 Scanning Hood Extension! This extension adds 3.25in to allow you to shield more ambient light when using longer focal length lenses (100mm+ full frame equivalent lenses generally).

This is not compatible with the Film Carrier MK1. This is only compatible with the Basic Film Carrier 35 which can be purchased separately.
