Our Pro Film Carrier 8×10 is the full redesign of our original 8×10 Sheet Film Holder. With an all-new hinged and solid metal design, this is a massive leap forward for sheet film scanning, and sets a new standard for photographers, archives, and institutions everywhere.
When working with large format, precision is key. That was a principle design pillar within our new line of professional large format film scanning tools. Machined from solid aluminum and steel, our Pro Film Carrier 8×10 will feel right at home in any professional work environment.
The Pro Film Carrier 8×10 is designed to work exclusively with our 8×10 Light Source Pro MK2. This light source is sold separately, and ensures an absolutely integrated workflow, offering bright, even, and sharp scans for all film sizes up to 8×10 inches.
This product is available for a limited pre-order. We anticipate that orders will be fulfilled within 90 days. This product carries our 2-year warranty but is considered special order is non-refundable or cancellable once your order has been placed.

Unlike traditional sheet film holders, the Pro Film Carrier 8×10 features a fully CNC-machined aluminum chassis engineered for exceptional rigidity and long-term durability. The all-metal construction resists flex and wear, providing a stable platform capable of meeting the demands of professional archives, museums, institutions, and high-volume scanning environments.
At the heart of the design is an adjustable hinge that evenly applies pressure across the custom ANR glass, helping maintain maximum film flatness while accommodating slight variations between film stocks and thicknesses. Whether you're scanning modern sheet film or decades-old archival negatives with natural curl, this hinge system is designed to produce consistently flat, repeatable results, guaranteeing absolute sharpness.
Thoughtful mechanical details make everyday use just as refined as the scans themselves. The integrated hinge has a locking mechanism to prevent the upper assembly from dropping, protecting both the precision-machined chassis and the ANR glass, while also making film loading safer and more controlled. The result is a carrier that feels as solid and intentional in operation as it does in construction.
Designed to pair directly with the 8×10 Light Source Pro MK2, the Pro Film Carrier 8×10 enables full-frame scanning of 8×10 negatives and transparencies including the rebate in a single capture. The modular architecture also lays the foundation for future masks and accessories, allowing the platform to grow alongside your workflow. We also designed an optional accessory to adapt our existing Single Frame ANR Masks that are compatible with our Pro Film Carrier 4x5. This allows you to scan nearly any format with our Pro Film Carrier 8x10, everything from 35mm up to 8x10 inches.
