The 8×10 Light Source Pro MK2 is our most advanced dedicated light source ever created. Engineered specifically for camera scanning large format film up to 8×10 inches, it delivers the brightness, color accuracy, and illumination uniformity required for professional and archival workflows.

Built as the successor to our original 8×10 Light Source Pro, the MK2 has been completely redesigned with a more compact footprint, a significantly more durable all-metal chassis, and an entirely new optical system. Every aspect of the light has been refined to provide a more reliable, repeatable scanning experience for photographers, archives, museums, and institutions working with irreplaceable large format negatives.

This product is available for a limited pre-order. We anticipate that orders will be fulfilled within 90 days. This product carries our 2-year warranty and is considered special order, and is therefore non-refundable or cancellable once your order has been placed.

The precision-machined aluminum enclosure isn't simply built to look professional. It provides the rigidity and durability expected in demanding production environments while housing integrated electronics designed for years of dependable operation. Something that has been highly requested over the years have been adjustable leveling feet to make precise alignment simple. We also opted for a mechanical switch instead of the knob on previous models which offers improved durability and convenience over previous generations. This light also features a solid steel top plate, making the top platform magnetic for use with our anti static dust removal brush, and potentially other tools.

Designed to pair seamlessly with the Pro Film Carrier 8×10, the 8x10 Light Source Pro MK2 forms the foundation of our complete large format scanning system. Together, they create an optimized workflow capable of producing exceptionally high-resolution camera scans with remarkable consistency and efficiency.
